Write for the Blog

Guest Posts Welcome!

If you are reading this page then likely you have an interest in business and social media. I frequently feature guest bloggers with posts ranging in topic to tips on writing, managing your business to social media strategies and Twitter techniques.

What I’m looking for

I am looking for posts about business development, writing, blogging, tips for success, social media and technology.  You will notice that most posts on this site revolve around social business.

Before writing a word, I urge you to read some posts from the blog  in order to get a feel for the topics that are relevant to our audience.

Tell the story in your voice and manner and make it long enough to feel substantial but not too long (300 – 1000 words).

Include a couple of sentences at the end which tell who you are and what you do. Please include a photo or logo to put next to you bio.  You are welcome to link to your own site, or to others. Please keep personal promotion to your bio. This is the section where you are encouraged to say, “I am a blogger and here is my site.”

The key to this all is: write in a manner comfortable to you and your style; this is an opportunity for my readers to get to know you and what you do.

How to submit your post

Please use the form below to submit your post. You can either cut-and-paste it into the appropriate field or if you need to upload the post as a file then use the form to send me an email.

If I use your post, I will contact you via the e-mail address you enter in the contact form before I post your entry.

If you are not comfortable using the form to submit a post, you may use it to email me and let me know you are interested in submitting a guest post.  Some people like to talk to me about topic ideas prior to writing.  I will get back to you as soon as I can.

The Small Print:

  1. I am the owner of this blog and the decision to post or not to post any submission will be made by me. Whether I choose to use your submission or not, I will notify you within a timely manner.
  2. Your guest post must be original. That means you have not and will not publish it on your own blog or use it as a guest post on another blog. If I discover your guest post has been duplicated, you will no longer be allowed to guest post here and your post will be removed.
  3. I reserve the right to edit your post, and links, as I see fit.  I generally do not edit content or links, but there have been occasions where that has been necessary. I will do my best to submit the changes to your before posting, for your review, but do not require your approval prior to posting.
  4. I reserve the right to add links to your post.  Links are important for SEO and if you do not provide in-context links, then it is likely that I will.
